Anti-Islam video sparks outrage.

Not too long ago, a man named Nakoula Bassley Nakoula made an anti-Islamic video that sent people into an outrage. Again, I’m not going to regurgitate the entire essay, but instead just give you the basic gist of it so it’s easier to understand and you don’t fall asleep too quickly. Or you may just exit out of it as soon as possible which is ok too. Anyways, so this guy was making a video and it was going fine until the end when he finished. Then he decided to tweak it a little without letting his cast know about it. He depicted the Prophet Muhammad as a bloodthirsty thug, and knowing this many Muslims were very angry and so was his cast. The film also put many of his cast out of business and they were not able to find jobs. Nakoula was sentenced to one year of jail and four years of probation. The anti-Muslim video ignited bloody protests in the Muslim world and Nakoula’s deception caused real harm to people.
So first things first, why would anyone even attempt to say and do bad things about another religion? That’s basically a whole new level of craziness, like he’s asking to be killed and sent death threats. The two most arguable topics would have to be politics and religion, and for this man to make a video against Muslims and chastise their religion. Not only is it risky and puts himself in a dangerous place, but now most of the world is out to get him because he decided to make this video. People need to be more careful about what they put on online, because it can spark a fiery outrage that enrages not only the targeted audience but also various others. Now I know why people say to think before you speak. There’s your lesson for the day!
