Everyone’s twelve-week grade report has been released this week. Some students might shows a level of concern over their grades; others may neglect the importance of grades. Before I continue writing this blog post, I would like to notify you that this post will be addressed to those students who show a concern for their grades. If you do not fit into this category, I suggest you redirect this time to another activity because this post will not be of your interest.
Moving on. I received my grade report expectedly today in my first period class, French. I was satisfied with my grades in my regular classes, but my reaction to my Honor and AP classes was different. I was infuriated with those classes, so I took the time -about five minutes- to ponder on the reasons for my lower-than-expected grades. By the way, I am not failing any classes.
The primary reason -let’s just say only reason- for these grades was that I did not give too much care into those classes. Don’t read this and think you don’t do this too. You must have procrastinated or given less effort before in a class or on an assignment. You know what I am referring to. So let’s get to my real purpose of this post.
Here’s some advice: get your @** off whatever you are sitting on and get to work. You got me? Let me be more formal: do you understand the advice I am giving you? You need to change your lifestyle to one that will help you be productive in school...and in other activities.
In conclusion, I will give you the moral of this blog post. First, you received your grade report. Second, you wet your pants. Third, your parents stared at you like you just became an idiot to them. Fourth, you took a lot of time -like five minutes- to think about your academic life. Fifth, you found this blog post and began reading it. And last but definitely not least, I gave you advice. Get your @** off whatever you are sitting on and get to work. We should make a shirt with this advice printed on it.
