Will this add to the list of school-related attacks?
Today students of Georgia State University had to evacuate the school due to a bomb threat. Students were told to gather at the First Baptist Church until further notice; many were also told that they could go home. All classes and activities were canceled for the remainder of the day. All forms of communication were used to alert the students: phone calls, text messages, loud speakers, and sirens were accounted. What I am really afraid of is the remake of the Columbine massacre or the Virginia Tech shooting. The police are unsure of who started this bomb threat. Was it a student suffering from insanity or depression? Was it a random civilian who does not attend the school, but wishes to destroy it anyways? Or, maybe, just maybe, he or she could be a professor of the university who is expressing his anger over his lack of payment and credentials. What I am trying to say is that whoever committed this atrocious act needs help. Looking back at Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the person could be a student who really needs someone to express his or her feelings with in order to relieve the stress. Not only will that certain some be happy, lives will be saved directly as well. Another solution could be the banning of firearms (even though bombs could made at home with the right ingredients).
This bomb threat can affect the world because it could possibly inspire others to commit the same abominable acts.
