Brotherly Bonding

We've all had those days. We feel like we have drifted from someone we love, and we just need to have a bonding session. You know, have lunch, see a movie, grab a friend, hit him in the head, and bury him in a plastic bin filled with concrete. Wait. What? That last part wasn't normal? My bad. Well, it was for 31 year old twin brothers Christopher and William Cormier. Earlier this month, the Cormier brothers were charged with the murder of 30 year old Florida journalist Sean Dugas. And just in case you're not sufficiently disturbed by this case, here's another chilling detail: they buried their victim in the back yard of the home their father was renting. Dad thought they were burying a dog; dude goes missing; they find a body; now its an orange jumpsuit vacation instead of twin bonding. Also, the two are being held in separate prisons, and one of them was recently denied bond as a result of being a "flight risk."

To be honest, one of the first things I thought when I read about this is how awkward that trip to Home Depot must have been. I mean I feel like if i walked into a home improvement store intending to buy concrete to bury someone in, I'd probably be just a little bit anxious. It would be pretty obvious too because I'd likely nearly have a heart attack when an employee would ask me if I needed help. But I guess committing murder is just all in a day's work for these two. Also, Imagine if you were that employee that helped them find the concrete or checked them out. I bet you're feeling a just little bit awkward right about now huh buddy...

Now I'm sure the first question that comes other peoples' minds when hearing stories like this is why? What did this poor guy do to you that you thought it was time for him to kick the bucket? Well, I cant really answer that, but the only connection the brothers had with Dugas was through a comic book shop, where they were all involved in a trading card game. Those must have been some pretty intense cards they were dealing with there. Obviously there was just one card the brothers could simply not live without, likely the same card they decided Dugas shouldn't be able to live with...see what I did there? No? Ok. But in all seriousness, I really hope these two had a better reason for taking this man's life than acquiring a new trading card. Because bashing someone's head in, putting them in a concrete filled bin, and burying them in your father's yard like a dog is one thing. But to do it over a trading card, now THAT is not ok.
