Without a doubt in my mind, Monday
is the worst day of the entire week, of course coming right after the weekend
it would take a massive miracle for the day not to be. Mondays are usually the
busiest and the most stressful. The day starts right at 5 on the dot and does
not end until 10 at night, without a break in between. By the end of the day
the anticipation for the return of Friday grows. Just coming from a stress free
and carless two day break, getting your brain to get down to business can be
kind of tough. Once Sunday comes around, the feeling of dread starts to sink
in. Yet again, I have to make myself last
another 6 days before repeating the same mundane and monotonous tasks.
My Monday morning starts off at 5 o’clock:
I wake up and get dressed, go to my church class, go to school, return home to
complete my homework, attend my after school activities, and soon after
returning home I have to lay my head back down to rest. During my morning
church class on most Mondays my teacher almost gives us a long drawn out
lecture based on the scriptures. During school, Monday is a prep day for the rest
of the week; it is when all of the teachers pass out the big projects, teach
new material, and pile on the homework. Through the Monday, it’s hard not to
dream of Friday. On Friday there is no need to worry about getting to bed at a
decent hour, but on Mondays getting bed to early enough to get a good amount of
sleep can be challenging. Friday is game day and breakfast day for my church
class. For school, Friday is the last day of the week, when all off the
projects, tests/quizzes, class work, and homework are turned in and all of the
stress and pressure is released. By Friday most of the week’s lesson plans have
been achieved, so the day becomes very chill and laid back. Monday, being the
first day of the week, is very challenging to last through; unfortunately there
around 52 Mondays in a week.
