Sex & Food

Food and sex run our lives. I’m not saying that everyone is horny and obese, but the ideal mentality would be. The world is thought to be reliant on money, but that is only the gateway to these pleasures.

Society does whatever it has to to get such comforts, whether it be inhumane or illegal. Why is it that we take it to such extremes? It is our desire: our longing and craving for satisfaction that needs instant gratification.

The South, particularly Atlanta, is praised for its southern cooking. The sweet aroma steaming from hot plates piled high with cheese, grits, and fried okra. But there’s also something going on behind the kitchen: Atlanta is known for its immense slave trafficking as well. Atlanta is a thriving city because it supports the two fundamentals of human life.

Obviously the food is not anything anyone is complaining about, but the latter is. On any given night, one can find an average of 500 underage girls standing one the streets waiting to have their bodies abused just to make a few dollars. Men used to fly in to foreign countries such as Taiwan to pleasure themselves, but now more and more visitors are coming to Atlanta to spend a few hours with a teenage girl. Atlanta is a transportation hub, which makes it easy to fly in and out. Atlanta also creates a ready market because of its successful conventions, sports, and previously mentioned food industry.

Atlanta is becoming exposed; a city previously known for its politeness and hospitality is now evolving to be a city distinguished by its number of females selling their bodies. In a culture that has originated from refined roots, the Atlantan way has kept the situation under wraps for some time, but that is true no longer.

Food and sex run our lives-- why can’t it be morals?
