The Walking Dead

The walking dead premiered last Sunday night and broke multiple records for all cable shows and for AMC. The walking dead has had 2 successful seasons but this time they achieved unprecedented success. The 9 o'clock airing got 9.8 million viewers and the 10 o'clock encore got 5 .2 million viewers. These numbers were the highest on the night beating out abc's revenge and CBS' the good wife.

The walking dead is relevant because it is filmed right here in Atlanta. We should all be extremely delighted that the walking dead has become so popular because it brings so many good things to the city. It has created thousands of jobs for actors, crew, and has helped put Atlanta on the map in the film world. The walking dead has become a huge part of the culture of Atlanta, seeing as how there are often zombie themed events in the city. AMC has ordered a full season 3 of thirteen episodes and will most definitely renew it for a fourth, seeing as it is the most successful show AMC has ever had. The walking dead has open auditions where anyone can come and try out to be a zombie. I've heard that it is a lot of fun even if you don't make it on screen. All around the walking dead is great in every way that a tv show can be, it's entertaining, it has positive effects on the city, and who doesn't love a good story about a zombie apocalypse?!
