So there I am sitting in my fifth period French class. I'm having a good time, talking to Jaydeep about the quiz we just got back and thats when Conrado turns around and asks, " Hey, did you do your blog?"
I was caught completely off guard and had no idea what he was talking about. I calmy asked what he meant. He told me that we had our second choice blog due today, and of course Jaydeep agreed with him. I persisted that they were wrong, and eventually we decided to consult the handout that Mr. Economos gave us.
I was ready to show Jaydeep and Conrado who was right and who was wrong. I was going to display my dominance and superiority in every subject once and for all. I grabbed my binder out of my backpack, slammed it on the table, and found the blog handout. To my demise, the worksheet clearly read, " Second choice essay due Monday, October 22nd." I was... Wrong. It doesn't happen a lot, I doubt it will happen again soon, but this time it happened.
And that's what got me in the situation that I am in now. I'm sitting here on my iPhone rushing through this terrible blog post. Maybe something good will come of this, perhaps I'll learn to check the blog schedule before I assume that our post isn't due till Thursday like it was the first week. Regardless of what grade I receive on this post, it will still have some value for me, it has taught me to check the schedule, listen to others, and most importantly, the one that is the hardest to admit, I am not always right.
