Have you ever worked so hard on an assignment but received a lower than expected grade? I can tell you that it's not a great feeling. The truth is that hard work doesn't always pay off; you need to work smart.
Working smart means you turn in an assignment that pleases your teacher. You might say that your hard work should receive a high grade for effort. Instead, your content determines your grade. So working smarter tells you to write content that your teacher sees as great.
We think that the harder we work the better. Sometimes that claim is wrong: less work might be worth more.
Working harder cares about the length of work, but working smarter looks at the value of the work. So next time you work on something, work smart. Be smart.
