Swimming
Swimming is a sport that not only uses every muscle in your body, but requires almost every minute of your time. It is a sport that is made up of dedicated athletes prepared to strain, work, and push their bones to bring them from one end of a pool to the other several times in just a few minutes or even seconds. A swimmer knows every movement they need to make with in each stroke in order to create an almost effortless looking race. The adrenaline that rushes through your veins when you are striving to finish a race with a first place medal just milliseconds away is overwhelming. You can bring your body to do incredible things in a pool when you go through the exhausting, time consuming, training of an elite swimmer. This sport is a way of life; a swimmer eats, sleeps, and breathes chlorine. Athletes like Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte have become idols to many by bringing fame and pride to their country through numerous victories in the pool. Swimming is a sport like no other. It requires you to do more physical work than any other sport, all while holding your breath. A swimmer's brain is engraved with memorized techniques in each aspect of a stroke or kick. A swimmer is more than an athlete, they are a member of a sport that is so vigorous and exclusive only few have the heart to compete.
