On Friday October twelfth a shocking yet unfortunate event
happened. A body enclosed in cement in a plastic storage container was found in
the back yard of a Decatur, Georgia home owned by two twin brothers Christopher
Cormier and William Cormier. On Monday October 15, 2012 the Georgia Bureau of
Investigation medical examiner’s office identified this unknown body as Sean
Dugas. Sean Dugas was a thirty year old intelligent, hard-working man from Pensacola,
Florida. Police say that he was last heard from on August twenty seventh and
was reported missing not to long after. Sean Dugas is one of 2,240 people reported
on average who go missing each day as of 2009. By the end of the year this adds
up to be around 719,558 people who are reported missing each year, not taking
into account for all the of missing people who are not reported. Investigators report
that the body was in rough conditions when found. Based on the numerous
injuries and the location of these injuries investigators were able to rule
this case as a homicide. The home owners Christopher Cormier and William
Cormier are now being charged for not only the death but for concealing the
death of the young man, Sean Dugan. Throughout the world there is one murder
every minute, out of those murders every 100 seconds there is an armed murder.
Unfortunately for Sean Dugas he was faced with his death, but for every person
killed there are twenty to forty other people who are hospitalized with serious
injuries. The court date and sentencing for the twin brothers have not been
reported yet, but for now the twin brothers are innocent until proven guilty.
May Sean Dugas rest in peace and may the Cormier brothers receive what’s fair
for them.
