In the state of Georgia, the jobless benefits have been extended to where the 13K long-term unemployed Georgians are eligible for up to 10 more weeks of aid. The reason for these new benefits is that the Georgia unemployment rate has gone up. With these increasing rates of unemployment, labor officials have established a program called the Tier 4 program to help with these benefits. The Tier 4 program provides extended benefits for individuals who have exhausted the first three tiers of emergency unemployment and are not eligible for regular unemployment insurance. These unemployment rates relate to the economy in the nation taking a complete turn, and how people aren't contributing to the establishment and stability of the economy that our nation so desperately needs.
